Training facilities

Tindegruppa administers and runs two different places for indoor climbing in Trondheim.

  • A bouldering room at I-bygget/Gløshaugen
  • A 12 meter high climbing wall, refered to as Dragwall, at Dragvoll idrettssenter.

Bouldering room

The bouldring room was finished December 2005. It is open for all members of NTNUI. It is a social place to be and to find climbing partners.

Dragwall

The climbing wall at Dragvoll is about 12 meter high and got routes from 4-8+ (Norwegian grading system). Everyone is welcome to climb at Dragwall, as long as you have the norwegian climbing certificate (Brattkort). You also have to have your own shoes, harness, rope, bealy device and climing partner. The room can hold 26 people.

The Dragwall Police (blue t-shirts with print on) is in charge of the safety at Dragwall.

The opening hours are the same as for the rest of the training center. You also have to pay to climb at Dragwall. Members of Tindegruppa can get one-year card (300NOK). Otherwise you have to pay 25NOK everytime you climb.

Climbing courses

Tindegruppa arrange 2-3 indoor courses at Dragwall and 1-2 weekend outdoor courses at Selnes during the year.

NB! All the courses will be held in Norwegian, therefore see the Norwegian part of the web-page for more information.
